**Unlike other resorts in the area, masks are optional (read, not worn at all) for guests.** if this at all makes you uncomfortable, skip for now. Food is on par with typical all-inclusive just OK, and drinks are weak. Our room is gorgeous, and the included room service is a major perk.

Stunning property, staff is working incredibly hard for you to have a great time. I will come back for the service and food was good, but as I mentioned, if you really want to enjoy the beach and the ocean it is better to look for another option. The staff is following the safe distance measurement to the point, but none of the guest were wearing face masks. Food in Portofino specifically is amazing. They also try to be a sustainable hotel, which is very nice, they avoid plastic and straws. We travel a group of 10 friends and had a blast, but it is very romantic for a couple's gethaway. I also want to point out that it is advertised as a "Beach resort" but in reality you do NOT have access to the beach, it is open sea so you cannot really swimm, also, they had a hurricane last month and the stairs to the beach are inhabilitated, so, you don't really get the beach, and that was a dissapointment. In general the hotel is very clean, but this experienced really undermined the rest.

The other issue was that the sheets of one of the beads had a stain (either blood or nail polish, it was red) that look fresh and was not from us, so we had to call housekeeping so they will change it. We did have a couple of issues during our stay, one is that their reservation system for the restaurants do not work, they did nos respect our reservation.
#Seaside grill secrets los cabos upgrade
We had a free room upgrade which was really nice. The welcome was really nice, they offered us beverages and food from the beggining, we did have to wait for check in, but since we already had Margaritas in our hands it was not that bad. The staff in general go out of their way to make you feel welcomed.
